Don't worry this is not my house! This is the kitchen of my next door neighbour.
This is the house I am living in at the school right now, the house that I was supposed to live in is not yet finished so I am staying with one of the teachers. It has actually turned out quite well, in my first week here I had someone to ask all kinds of weird questions. Questions such as where to shower, how to light a stove, boil water, wash clothes and get water.... the list is quite long, I sometimes feel like an infant learning how to talk and walk and feed myself.
The kitchenWhere we (well actually so far it has been my housemate) boil water when the power is out. The water is boiled over an open fire under a pot held up by three rocks. A stick is inserted under the pot and then removed and put out when the water is finished boiling.
The bathing room

The great thing about this way of bathing is that the water just flows out of the room and it requires a lot less cleaning than the bathrooms at home!
There is also a room in the house that has a drain and can be used for bathing... I generally use this room as there are less holes in the wall...
Pit toilets

With out going into any details... Ive had to make an adjustment to use these facilities...
Dish rackTo do dishes first you need to get water into the washing pan, wash the dishes, get more water, wash the soap off and then let them dry of this handy dish rack.
